10 mar 2022 · In some cases, you may have a test called kinetic visual field testing. While it is similar to the perimetry testing process described above, the kinetic test uses moving light targets instead of blinking lights.

23 wrz 2021 · Goldmann kinetic perimetry, which is a high-quality assessment of the peripheral visual field, can be obtained within a short test time by a well-trained and experienced perimetrist.
In kinetic perimetry, a stimulus is moved from a non-seeing (subthreshold) area to a seeing (suprathreshold) area, and the location where the object is first seen is recorded. The speed the stimulus is moved should be standardized, typically at 2-4 degrees per second.
Watch out for patient performance effect, for example, high false-positive or false-negative errors, cloverleaf pattern (static perimetry) or spiralling of fields (kinetic fields). Perimetry results change if anything obstructs the travel of light towards the retina (eg cataract).
22 lip 2019 · A visual field boundary overlay was used to assess detection potential of Humphrey 850 kinetic perimetry using I4e and I2e targets in results of known abnormal visual fields.
25 sie 2023 · Perimetry is a widely used diagnostic tool that helps assess glaucoma, optic neuropathies, posterior segment disorders, and conditions affecting the visual pathway. It also helps in monitoring the progression of diseases and guiding the treatment. It helps in the measurement of the extent of the visual field loss.
A visual field test is an eye examination that can detect dysfunction in central and peripheral vision which may be caused by various medical conditions such as glaucoma, stroke, pituitary disease, brain tumours or other neurological deficits.
