Best way to do it, is to plan the exit in the opposite direction as the moon itself is orbiting. After that you can set your PE between 30 and 70k (i recommend about 40k to be safe, but it also depends on the vessel), so that you can airbrake and land on kerbin.
2 maj 2019 · Going to the Mun is one thing. Going there and landing is another. But getting there, and back with just 2 burns? That's really quite challenging! This tutorial will provide you with all the tools but practice, to get you to the Mun, and then back for free.
22 sty 2023 · Transferring From the Mun to Kerbin. When you are ready, just start burning prograde until you get an orbit around Kerbin and an escape trajectory from the Mun. An easier way to do this is to just burn upwards from launch sending you straghit up to an escape trajectory (about 2,000km). Keep in mind that this method does require more fuel to ...
Best way is to first get a nice circular Kerbin orbit, let's say at 100km. Then hit m so you are in solar system view and zoom out so you can see the mun and rotate the camera so that the mun is at about 2oclock relative to Kerbin. Then you burn prograde at 6ocklock for about 800dv.
This will cause you to escape the Mun while simultaneously lowering your orbit around Kerbin. Once you escape the Mun, burn retrograde until your periapsis is below about 30 km. The atmosphere will then catch you.
wait for the moment when, taking the Mun as the center, Kerbin is on 12 o'clock and your landed ship is on the 2 to 3 o'clock. take off heading east, moving horizontally as soon as you can (mind the moutains). You want to escape retrograde to the Mun ("behind" it), parrallel to its trajectory.
16 sie 2012 · If you want to return from the Mun just using Mechjeb, get into orbit, then use its Orbital Operations panel to raise your apoapsis to a point higher than the radius of the Mun's SOI (2200km or so.) That will get you out of the Mun's SOI, and allow you to then land on Kerbin.
