Parkers Car Price Guide is probably the 'blue book' equivalent for the UK. It was also a magazine that was published monthly between 1972 and 2020. There's a UK version of Auto Trader which is probably the biggest secondhand car sales website in the country, they also had a weekly print edition until 2013 that was just pages of adverts like these .
Every time I ever used Kelley Blue Book it's the complete opposite experience, the market average is always way above the Kelley book retail, and trade in is like $8,000 Below Retail. Other words dealer always think Kelley Blue Book trade in is way higher than it should be and consumers always think Kelley Blue Book is way lower than it should be compared to actual retail listings on the ...
Those are just two examples off the top of my head. I'm sure you could find much more polar cases. Sometimes they're somewhat accurate, but only relying on the book will regularly have you miss out on great deals while overpaying for junk that nobody wants.
10 maj 2021 · Hi all, I'm moving to the States soon and will need to buy a car. I'm reading up so I can get an idea of the car market, and found two sources that seem legit: Consumer Reports and Kelley Blue Book. I noticed there are some significant differences, specifically regarding car ratings. My questions are: Which is more reliable and why?
13 sty 2020 · On a whim, I opted for a KBB "Instant Cash" offer for my car this morning. It looks like the instant offer is about 10% - 15% lower than the lower bound of the range KBB provides for private sales/trade-ins and ~25% - ~42% lower than retail (based on cargurus):
15 kwi 2024 · I had a $26k offer from Carvana in hand. Went to dealer, they offered me $17k, claiming "black book" said it was only worth 17k. 17k black book was for "rough" even though my truck was mechanically and cosmetically flawless, had a professional $500 detail the day before I took it in. Had records showing oil was changed by a dealership a week prior.

8 paź 2021 · Not always. The ICO is from KBB, based on the information the customer provides. As a "KBB Buyer" at my store, we almost always find something that the customer didn't report such as an accident in its history or some scratches or dents or worn tires.
3 sty 2022 · I have a 2021 Highlander XSE with 12,500. Kelly Blue Book says trade in value is $46,900. There is a 2022 Highlander XSE at my local dealership listed for less. Could I realistically get more for my trade in than what I would pay for the new car? I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
19 lis 2021 · I did three quotes through the mentioned sites and they all give me amounts from $25k - 27.8k for my 2018 Honda Accord Sport (gray color, all standard). I went into the dealership after they called me due to my Kelley blue book cash offer quote and they suddenly were saying I'd likely see a trade-in value of 17-20k. This is a HUGE difference.
