Organization codes can be used to record, compare, and control data at various organizational levels. The organization codes incorporate the needs of decision-makers and the requirements of State fiscal systems.
Every agency, department, commission, and board within State government will use the standard codes and structures contained in the Uniform Codes Manual (UCM) and the departmental program codes and structures contained in the Governor’s Budget or otherwise amended per Finance instructions.
This section contains the account codes and titles to be used for the accounting and reporting of revenue. The first digit of the six digit revenue code will be coded a one (1).

Each transaction has an associated seven-digit code—the Account Code—that indicates what the transaction was for. Every state transaction, not just the expenditure transactions shown on Open FI$Cal, has an associated Account Code. A complete listing of these codes is called a Chart of Accounts.
The statewide project code, as shown in the Governor’s Budget and Budget Bill/Act, will generally be a seven-digit code comprised of the first seven digits (Program, Element, Component) of the ten-digit program code.
