With this solution, it must be stored flat and some place where the exposed jigsaw won't be an issue. I bought a table specifically to do larger puzzles. It fits the Ravensburger 5k puzzles, but not larger than that. Larger tends to get really expensive. The 9k/18k/etc puzzles all come in multiple parts, so if you have a table large enough for 5k, you should be good to go.
