(14) And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said [to] this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.”
based upon His self-revelation. Yahweh titles appear in English translations as Jehovah. Yahweh-Jireh “The LORD will provide” (Gen. 22:14). This was the name given to the location where God provided a ram for Abraham to sacrifice in the place of Isaac. This name is a testimony to God’s deliverance.
Translations. Jehovah-jireh in King James Bible 1853 Genesis 22:14. In the Masoretic Text, the name is יְהוָה יִרְאֶה (yhwh yirʾeh). The first word of the phrase is the Tetragrammaton (יהוה), YHWH, the most common name of God in the Hebrew Bible, which is usually given the pronunciation Yahweh in scholarly works. [1]

28 paź 2024 · Jehovah Jireh in English means “The Lord will provide,” but it encompasses so much more. It is a testament to God’s character, a source of comfort in times of need, and a call to trust in divine providence. May this name continue to inspire and strengthen us in our spiritual journey.
