From reading this and other forums, i was able to connect the green/white wire and get the tach running but then then jeep would idle fine but but bog down when driving.

  4. While all my Jeeps have V-8 engines, you can get an HEI system for your 6cyl too so this article applies to all such Jeeps. The GM HEI system was used in GM vehicles for a approximately 20 years.

  6. 17 mar 2016 · the delco point distributor converted to Pertronix module is what I used for over 10 years on the 74 which was my daily driver, no problems until the freshly installed TFI coil fried the pertronix in a few 1000 miles, hence the trail breakdown, and the installation of the free HEI.

  7. 8 sty 2015 · Howell EFI: white wire coming from the throttle body (was connected to the coil before the HEI conversion) is now connected to a green wire that comes from the tach. The green tach wire is connected directly to the distributor.
