The stock GM HEI will not work in an AMC V8 without modifications. The straight six versions do, which is why it's a popular swap if you have a 258 or 232.

23 cze 2018 · Now most hei kits recommend re-gapping plugs after doing the hei swap (usually around .045 but you can’t gap E3 plugs.). So I ran my heep for a while with the E3’s & while it ran fine I was slightly disappointed with the hei swap since I was expecting a little more improvement.
