8 lut 2014 · My factory GM HEI pulled out of a '77 Chevy van has been working flawlessly since 1998. The only thing that's been done to it was to convert it to the eight pin ignition module and disable the advance so that my EFI now controls the spark timing.
23 cze 2018 · Now most hei kits recommend re-gapping plugs after doing the hei swap (usually around .045 but you can’t gap E3 plugs.). So I ran my heep for a while with the E3’s & while it ran fine I was slightly disappointed with the hei swap since I was expecting a little more improvement.
28 kwi 2009 · My engine rebuilder told me my new HEI distributor was too big around and was causing clearance problems. Is there a HEI distributor that is not much bigger around than the stock points unit? Thanks Dan
1 lis 2005 · A remanufactured unit from your local auto parts chain will cost you well over $100. Start the search for an HEI from vehicles of the years 78-82 with the GM 250 or 292 I6 engine.

17 mar 2016 · I know some do not like the HEI but is there a better alternative that eliminates points? I am open to other options but the dead simple hook up of the HEI units and the ~110.00 cost is hard to overlook. The Delco would still be points based even if the load on it is reduced prolonging life.
8 sty 2015 · Howell EFI: white wire coming from the throttle body (was connected to the coil before the HEI conversion) is now connected to a green wire that comes from the tach. The green tach wire is connected directly to the distributor. Davis DUI: A red and white wire are connected to it directly from the tach.
