16 sty 2011 · The GM HEI is a stand alone system. All you have to do is wire up an ignition wire to the appropriate port on the cap and plug in the vacuum advance. I suggest you run a relay, as the HEI system runs best with a full, fat, 12 volts.

23 cze 2018 · Since the instructions that came with my HEI (and I expect the same instructions come with your HEI) tell the installer to connect the green tach wire to the green HEI wire, it was an oversight on the mechanics part.
Starting with the number one spark plug wire, move the spark plug wires from the original distributor cap to the Flame-Thrower cap one by one. If converting from a point type ignition new HEI style spark plug wires should be used (Check with your dealer for Flame-Thrower plug wires).
