17 paź 2019 · I am looking to buy a new turn key Chevy Big Block engine, I can just drop in. Has anyone purchased an engine from either Shafiroff or PerformanceUnlimted? If so, what is your feedback, good, bad, or ugly?
25 wrz 2022 · A bit late here, but I bought a Smedling 383 after much research in 2020. I went with their crate engine + a few parts I spec'd. They built it and dyno'd with the Intake, Cam, and Distributor I had sent to them.
2 mar 2022 · In 2014 I bought a 383 sbc from Smeding Performance. Very satisfied with the product; no problems. Having said that, they were slower than promised. During the build they said they were having problems getting some parts (pistons as I remember).
Never heard of them. Check out blueprint engines. Same deal but much more well-known, won’t run into problems with anything from them. Not sure on price, but know people with their motors and give them good reviews
1 lip 2016 · I am in the process of collecting parts to build a 565 bracket engine and have seen the Reher-Morrison 565 and it would be a similar engine. I have a set of 355 dart heads, 14:1 JE pistons with the .043/.043/3mm ring set, Super Victor, etc. SO for the cam, I was questioning the R-M cam 420-116.
10 kwi 2013 · If you are making big changes in carburetor jetting or ignition timing as part of your tuning procedure, you are almost certainly putting your engine at risk. Virtually every high-horsepower racing engine built by a professional shop is tested and tuned on a dyno before delivery.
