Jared Scot Allen (born April 3, 1982) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons. He played college football for the Idaho State Bengals and was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL draft.

25 mar 2023 · When he first entered the league in 2004, Allen was a virtually unknown player from Division I-AA Idaho State University. However, even in college, Allen displayed his talent for terrorizing quarterbacks with an astounding 17.5 sacks as a senior and a total of 38.5 for his career.
With Allen on the roster, Minnesota captured back-to-back NFC North titles in 2008 and 2009. Allen ranks 3rd on the franchise's all-time sack list with 83.5 sacks in his time as a Viking.
