But I can't figure out how to use a controller with games from steamunlocked. I have tried adding it to my steam library through the "Add non-steam game method" But it doesn't work, and the overlay doesn't show up when I press shift+tab.

Steam Controllers seem to be my only option right now at least until payday for playing XBox Gamepass games. I already tried one app GloSC I think it was, and I couldn't get that to work, when I try to select the executable, the app isn't allowed to open it because Gamepass locks down its games (same reason you can't mod Gamepass)

Make sure the PC has bluetooth enabled, then press the little button near where USB port is on the controller (controller should be near the computer when you press the button). Then go to Windows and accept the pairing request.
