The mod looks for an optifine installer or mod jar in the current mods folder. If it finds an installer jar it runs the extract task in its own throwaway classloader. The optifine mod jar is a set of classes that need to replace the ones that minecraft provides.
17 lip 2022 · OptiFabric a mod that can be used to run OptiFine on the Fabric Mod Loader. It does this by taking the official OptiFine mod and making it compatible with the Fabric Mod Loader at runtime. This project does not contain OptiFine, you must download it separately!
There are two ways to install OptiFine. First one is to run the .jar file you downloaded in the previous steps. Go with this one if you don't intend to use OptiFine alongside other mods. Second one is to put the OptiFine .jar file to the mods folder. This way you can use OptiFine with other mods.
Thought I'd share what I know about Legacy Fabric a way to install Fabric on 1.8.9 (1.7.10 and 1.12.2 are possible but only for Developers at the moment but 1.8.9 has a small handful of mods currently).
