She died in her sleep from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in New York. Her funeral was on May 23, 1994. She was buried next to her first husband, President Kennedy, at Arlington National Cemetery. In 1999, she was named as one of Gallup's Most-Admired Men and Women of the 20th century. [5] .
