The supreme example of the Lord Jesus is gloriously celebrated in the hymn of Christ. Verse 5 says, "Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus." If you truly want to know what it means to humble yourself, look at Jesus and adopt his mindset.
We need to understand that following Jesus means following him as a servant who humbles himself -- or we'll never really understand him.
