Tl;dr tinder Gold is not worth it, tinder overall is missing the “loss aversion” incentives which gets people to talk and meetup, like most other apps are doing these days.

The pros to Tinder are as follows: Associated with sex so if you meet up with a person you're more likely to get laid than with any other means of meeting aside from prostitution. Time efficient, after you invest in perfecting your profile then you just need to swipe around once a day at the same times everyone else does.
Tinder is the one with the least amount of mutual right swipes for me. I have 10 hidden likes but won't pay to see them. I have a total of 2 mutual likes in about a month. 1 never replied to my message but the other does seem legit, so we will see. I get more interest on FB Dating and Bumble than the rest.
If long term is 100% what you are looking for, I'd basically suggest avoiding Tinder. There is a lot of people on Tinder just for sex. However there is definitely a chance to find something real. Three of my friends are married to people they met on Tinder, and I also met my fiancé on there.
Absolutely worth a try. I would recommend Hinge over Tinder however. I’ve had many more matches and quality interactions. This is true no matter what you’re looking for in a relationship. Hinge isn’t only for LTR seekers just like Tinder isn’t just for hookups.
It may be worth it if you feel like you can compete with (or share with) 80% of the female population for male attention, you are wiling to be reasonable with your standards and base requirements, and are willing to spend the time digging through matches.
