Yes it's safe. With extremely extremely few exceptions, mods are NOT executable software. They're just a set of record changes. Impossible for viruses infect them. Trojans are always possible of course, which is why you use Nexus instead of randomly downloading shit from a link someone posted. Nexus scans all their mods.
They absolutely are safe. I've been downloading mods off of Nexus for various games since April 2020 and have never gotten a single virus.
20 wrz 2019 · My point is: Don't trust software, small or big. Always assume that it could be malicious or broken. You should be suspicious of Vortex as much as any other software. The way you live with that is that you limit the damage software can have. e.g.: Have a backup of anything you don't want to lose.
