   Yup, mods are scanned before the uploads are available for download. There are a few exceptions, huge mods seem to not always be fully scanned. Like if the size of the mod is over 1 GB or something like that.

   Nexus uses Virus Total for its virus scan. You can view the files within a download if you're suspicious. (Just click "Preview File Contents" on the mod file.) You can just download manually then scan with Windows or Malwarebytes. Then install the archive into your mod manager.

   Yes. In fact the Nexus has been comprimised in the past. Will it happen? I highly doubt it, but still scan everything you download yourself to be even more sure; though even scanners can't save us 100% of the time.

   Yes, NexusMods is safe - it's the largest site for mods and the only one I would download mods from without concern (they check files for virus). If there were a virus, you would know about it - users would red flag it immediately.

   2 paź 2013 · Every time I download a file from Nexus now I do a virus check it is almost a must. I am sure that Nexus does its best but I would suggest any time you download a mod from anywhere you do a check. Found one and had to start over.
