7 paź 2014 · I would be careful using alcohol or any other flammable cleaner. A spark from the roller pickup could ignite the liquid before it evaporates. Small amounts of alcohol burn almost invisibly, so a fire may not be evident at first. Use Lionel or Life Like track cleaning fluid in the car.
The best track cleaning method is to run some kind of a track cleaning car - whichever is your favorite - over every track on the layout at least weekly. It is much easier to keep the track clean than to have to make the track clean.
28 sty 2018 · The hoover function is the cleaner's best function in my opinion. I use it coupled to a CMX track cleaner with some Track Magic as the cleaning fluid, with one of the detailed and heavier Hornby Class 31's to haul/push it around.
