  1. It's one of the best tvs of 2019 (the best gaming OLED), has HDMI 2.1 and it's reletively very affordable. If you need a future-proof tv asap without breaking the bank it's your best choice. Reply

  2. Monoproce for sure - just make sure you get the proper type of HDMI cable (1.4, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2) for the device you are using. These will support different bitrates. IIRC HDMI 2.0 is at least 48 Gbps, which is much higher than 1.4. For example Nintendo Switch uses HDMI 1.4, but PS5 uses 2.0.

  4. Currently all upcoming games supports 4K 60 fps and it the most preferred frame rate . only if you have hdmi 2.1 tv full rgb is supported in hdr mode . Otherwise it will switch to limited which make some colors washed out.

  5. TV has HDMI controller that is capable to receive VRR signal, so all you need is a device that is capable of sending it (no clue about AMD, but any nVidia RTX GPU is VRR capable over HDMI both 2.0 and 2.1).

  6. I was looking to possibly buy a new 4k tv or monitor soon and was wondering if hdmi 2.1 is really a worthwhile feature. I’ve found some nice options that offer 4k and aren’t to expensive and are all hdmi 2.0.

  7. Is HDMI 2.1 worth it? : r/BudgetAudiophile. What’s the major benefit? I’m looking at buying a receiver that will last me a very good amount of time. but I’m also on a budget. I watch mainly 4K blu rays (Dolby Atmos), but also play video games. This thread is archived. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. 11 comments. Best.
