5 kwi 2023 · IRS Form 8888 is the tax form that you can use to direct deposits of tax refunds to multiple deposit accounts. You can also use this form to buy Series I savings bonds in purchase amounts of $50 increments, up to an annual limit of $5,000.
When you file your 2023 tax return by October 15, 2024, include IRS Form 8888. Complete Part 2 to tell the IRS you want to use part (or all) of your refund to purchase paper I bonds. Purchase amounts must be in $50 multiples and you can choose to have any remaining funds delivered to you either by direct deposit or by check.
