5 mar 2024 · In this video I build an adjustable tool rest/platform for the bench grinder. The original tool rest that came with the grinder was almost useless as you could not adjust the height or angle.
The plan was made so that all of the parts will be easy to cut accurately on a table saw with very few curves or odd shapes. These are an example of the most complex ones: The plans were made with accurate thicknesses for the materials, like 1/2″ (12.7mm) and 3/4″ (19.05mm) for the plywood and MDF.

31 sty 2012 · Problems arise especially when grinding skew chisels or wider blades like plan irons. The system I have (sorry, no pics) is a wooden ledge mounted at spindle height along the front of the grinder, and a set of wedges for different preset angles.
