29 maj 2023 · But what about those deep cuts, forgotten treasures and connoisseur’s favourites that have never been aired in public? Of the 171 songs that have appeared on Iron Maiden’s 17 studio albums (plus three non-album singles), how many have they never played live.
For albums like Iron Maiden and A Matter of Life and Death, we will be limited to albums played only in the first tour and not again (or almost never again). For this one, we’ll just count Prodigal Son plus the others never performed live after 1981.
There’s also a fair few songs that have only been played a few times or not too consistently on a tour. Just a few errors in the titles I wanted to notify you about: Back IN the Village, RSRD has ‘world’ in the middle when it shouldn’t and I Live My Way doesn’t have ‘w’ capitalised.
Because I was too broke to see their most recent tour for the first time in almost a decade, so of COURSE they played back-to-back shows in Toronto and I missed them play Revelations, which is both my favourite Maiden song and one I have yet to hear live 😑. If that doesn't count, then Montsegur.

It counts even if they played it once during their career (like The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner) and I've excluded B-sides. This list could be wrong but I've compared several sites just to be sure. Here it goes:
