The iQTS programme offers teachers based in schools outside the UK who have not undergone a period of formal training the opportunity to participate in a structured programme of professional development leading to a teaching qualification. IQTS is awarded by the University of Buckingham.
Funding Information. The fee for a one-year, full-time iQTS course at St Mary’s is £8,250. Applicants for iQTS are not eligible for loans, bursaries, or any other type of financial support from the UK government to help cover the costs of studying iQTS.
International Qualified Teacher Status (iQTS) is a new international teaching qualification, backed by the UK Government, which was piloted from September 2022 with six providers. Additional providers will be supporting the wider roll-out of iQTS from 23/24.
