1 maj 2008 · Use iPod Reset Utility to restore the following iPod models back to their factory settings, when iTunes is unable to do so: iPod shuffle (1st Generation) iPod shuffle (2nd Generation) The restore process completely erases all music and data on your iPod, and installs current iPod software on it.
To reset it do the following: Move the button on top of your iPod to the HOLD position. Then move it back the other way to "on". Press and hold the center button AND the top menu button at the SAME TIME for 6 seconds. (It will restart the ipod) Start your computer with the iPod still connected. It should auto install the drive behind the scenes.
17 paź 2013 · There is no 64-bit Windows version of the utility. This utility is only for the 1st and 2nd gen iPod shuffle (for use when a Restore using iTunes is not possible), and no other iPod models, so a 64-bit Windows version was not needed when these older shuffles were being sold.

18 kwi 2019 · More and more problems are coming up as I chip away at it. it is being acknowledged by itunes and the computer when I try to manage the device, everything seems okay except it needs the reset. Reply reply
