16 kwi 2014 · This is an IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) keyboard layout, made for linguists by linguists. There are very few tools for comprehensive IPA input available, some of those are strictly online, some of them cost money, and others yet are difficult to install and operate.
The ipa-dict-dsl project has converted all of the IPA data into DSL format dictionary files for use with dictionary software such as ABBY Lingvo, GoldenDict, or gdcl. Pre-compiled and compressed dictionary files for individual languages can be downloaded from the project releases page.

The best Windows fonts for general use appear to be Times New Roman, Arial, Courier New, and Segoe UI. The versions supplied with Windows 7 and 8 include all the symbols on the IPA Chart. Other useful fonts are available for free download from www.sil.org .
