I'll be arriving in Japan in less than two weeks now with Interac so speaking from experience at having dealt with them and being far enough along that, at least as far as financials goes, I'm fairly well versed. The pay isn't great but it will be enough to live on.
Your experience with Interac as a company all depends on your branch. I'm in one of the “good ones” that don't really bother people too much, but I talk to some people in other branches and it's like they're working for an entirely different (much worse) company.
A lot of your experience with the job would depend on the school you have, and they vary greatly. The money is terrible, but no one comes to be an ALT for the money. Interac itself, for my 4 years with them, were very hands off and I only got observed once. Staff were nice and easy to deal with.
13 gru 2010 · #1. I am taking the plunge, moving from an Eikaiwa to public school, but am trying to find the best way to go about it. Right now, Interac stands out in mind. It's one of the larger providers of ALTs and AETs to public schools. Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) with working for Interac?
