19 lip 2018 · INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana State Police began to rein in speeders with a new tool 30 years ago this month. ISP unveiled its high-performance patrol vehicle fleet on June 30, 1988. The stable consisted of 20 unmarked Ford Mustangs capable of going zero-60 mph in under 10 seconds.
Besides the standard patrol car, high performance Mustangs, and motorcycles, the Indiana State Police have trucks, vans, and trailers in their fleet. Crime Scene Investigators are issued vans to haul all the specialized equipment needed to process crime scenes and to transport evidence.
