Because Imperial Glass produced a wide variety of cut and pressed glass patterns and accessories, collectors focus on (1) patterns, such as Cape Cod or Lace edge, (2) a glass type such as carnival or milk, and (3) art glass and crystal lines such as Free Hand, Nuart, and Nucut.

In the early 1960s, Imperial’s new Slag Glass items quickly became an industry standard for their beauty and quality. Imperial then marketed a line of Peachblow vases that brought to consumers a taste Wheeling Peachblow from the 1880s. A revival of some of Imperial’s original patterns appeared.
