The IL-114 is a mid-range passenger jetliner designed and manufactured by Ilyushin Aviation Complex (IAC) of Russia. It was built to supersede the aging fleet of IL-14 and An-24 airliners deployed within Russia. 14 IL-114s are currently operational worldwide.

26 lip 2021 · The Ilyushin Il-114 was first launched in the 1990s as an update to the original Il-14, that sought to replace the Douglas DC-3 and Lisunov Li-2 in the Soviet Union. While the project flopped, Ilyushin will soon introduce a new Il-114-300 and has announced its launch customer.
The Ilyushin Il-114 has been designed to fill what could ultimately be a very large requirement to replace ageing fleets of turboprop airliners, including the Antonov An-24, in service on regional routes within Russia and other CIS states.
The Il-114 was designed as a replacement for the An-24/26, first flying in 1990 with expectations of hundreds being built. However the type vies with the Dassault Mecure for the least-produced commercial aircraft with only ten being completed to date, therefore being much less prolific than the similar-looking ATP, itself not a huge success.
