IHSS Provider Health Benefits WHO QUALIFIES? Any IHSS Providers who are paid 80 or more hours per month may qualify for medical, dental and vision coverage (it is all 3 coverages together, and there is no dependent coverage available). To qualify, you must first complete and return an Enrollment Application.
Workers' Compensation. Workers’ Compensation insurance provides wage replacement and medical benefits if you are injured while working for an IHSS Recipient. Contact your recipient's IHSS Social Worker to report the injury. Call (415) 557-6200 for the Social Worker information.

In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) provide people with low-income who have disabilities or are 65 years old or older with in-home and personal care services to help them live safely in their own homes. If you get IHSS, you will be a recipient and get services from providers. You can hire your own providers and have them sign up to get paid by IHSS.
