4-6-1 EXCEPTION (NEW): Creates an exception to basket interference by allowing a player(s) to touch only the net while the ball is on or within the basket provided that the contact did not affect the ball. Rationale: Allows play to continue unless the contact of the net affects the try for goal.
High School Basketball Rules - 2024. Every team will be required to have an adult (21 years or older) on their team’s bench. Each player must play at least half of the game. IHSA game rules apply except where the Geneva Park District has been adaptions.
Normal West High School. General Mechanics. Understand the importance of proper mechanics and positioning. They tell the story to coaches and spectators. They help officials communicate with each other. Use NFHS mechanics. Proper repetition builds good mechanics. Don’t draw attention to yourself. Have others critique you.
