3 mar 2021 · The Working Group on Health in Climate Change (HIC) was established in 2012 under the mandate of the European Environment and Health Task Force (EHTF) to promote dialogue and cooperation in the WHO European Region on protecting health from the adverse effects of climate change.

The Paris Agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change. It was adopted by 196 Parties at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) in Paris, France, on 12 December 2015. It entered into force on 4 November 2016.
Climate change has direct and indirect impacts on population health, and indicator systems are useful for capturing the complex relationships among upstream climate and downstream health effects while incorporating potential modifying vulnerabilities and adaptation strategies.
