20 gru 2019 · I uploaded an Excel workbook to Teams and am unable to use the time (Ctrl+Shift+;) and date (Ctrl+;) keyboard shortcuts in the online version. Can I create new shortcuts in Excel online? If so, how do I do that? If I cannot create a new shortcut, when will this issue be resolved?
If you switch your keyboard to a language that has the semicolon on a different key that requires Shift to type it and then start Excel, the shortcut Ctrl+; doesn't work. The shortcut Ctrl + Shift + : may still work for inserting time.
2 cze 2024 · The old keyboard shortcuts for date and time (Ctrl+; and Ctrl+:) aren't available in Excel 2021 anymore. No worries! You can still insert them easily. Just type "=TODAY()" for the current date or "=NOW()" for the current time. These formulas will automatically update whenever you open the spreadsheet. I hope this helps!

27 kwi 2017 · Recently upgraded to Excel 2013. One of the most used (at least for me) shorcuts: 1) CTRL + ; to insert current date in a cell. 2) CTRL + : to insert current time in a cell. both don't work. the command does not return anything.
You can insert the current date and time in an Excel cell as static values or as dynamic values. A static value is one that doesn’t change when the worksheet is recalculated or opened. A dynamic value is one that is updated each time formulas are recalculated.
