I know there's a large overlap between idle and incremental but I'd call most of these idle rpg/resource games. When I think of incremental I think ngu, synergism, realm grinder, adcap and the like. Though I'm not sure if there's consensus on this really.

IdleOn! Is… different, to say the least. It’s basically a grindy open-world idle “MMORPG” (or at least semi-MMORPG) with resource collection, crafting, and a level-design and combat system that draws inspiration from Maple Story’s platform-based 2D world.

A game that is easy to navigate, won't be PIA to play, and there's not that many good idle/incremental game with good UI. Then you have the story/goal (s). Beside unlocking stuff, games with story add another incentive to play.
