I'm planning to use the CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) ratings of my case fans to calculate the total airflow and subsequently set the appropriate fan RPMs (Revolutions per Minute).
10 cze 2022 · This effectively gives you the maximum allowable fan speed during the session and then an immediate reduction at the end. Nothing in the case is particularly reactive to small changes in fan speed. Dropping 100 rpm might cost you 1C at the most, if anything, so still let noise be your guide as much as you can.
Using the pwmconfig utility, I generated the following /etc/fancontrol file: This only sort of works—as soon as I enable the fancontrol daemon, the fan shuts off at first (good), but the temperatures of the 7 different sensors slowly rise, even when everything is idle.
My idle CPU temps are around 30-35 and GPU around 40. Under load my GPU can get up to 73-75, which seems high but not too high. Are these temps normal? Those are fine temps. Set your CPU fan curve in BIOS, use Afterburner for GPU fan curve if you want them to be less noisy.
12 wrz 2022 · Depending on mobo, pwm (4pin) fans won’t spin if under 5% pwm signal. You may have to set this up in bios. If you have 3 pin fans, doing a custom curve giving them 0 voltage would be how to accomplish this.
7 maj 2024 · This should give you a couple of fan speed options, such as a quiet profile or full performance. Select an option depending on whether you want the CPU fan’s RPM to increase or decrease. In addition, you might encounter a fan curve graph that lets you control the CPU fan speed.
