Most of the issues is software but most of those are fixed in 3.1, there is a newer one call 3.1.2 for the 2023 that adds Plug n charge, features, and fixes. Hopefully VW gets the 21 and 22s the recall for the 12v so they can get the OTA updates.
I'm fortunate to be able to say I have not had any software or mechanical issues with my ID.4. It has been fully reliable, even on longer road trips. I have noticed some lag, the UI is definitely not as fast as I would want and the settings are not organized in the most user friendly way.
