Upon choosing the Mage faction, Elle will give the player a Maddox Batphone. Presenting the Batphone to the Dean in their office ( -16, 123, -882 ) will give the player a Letter of Recommendation which allows access to the second floor of the community center, where Queen Nyx will formally invite the player to the Mage Faction.
Each Faction consists of a large questline that involves speaking to various NPCs, collecting items, killing Minibosses and Bosses, and more. The Mage Faction questline starts off with Elle granting the player a special version of the Maddox Batphone to give to Dean in the Cathedral.

While in the Catacombs, players gain +250 Intelligence and an additional +5 Intelligence per class level. If only one player is playing the Mage class, then the base Intelligence bonus is increased from 250 to 500.
