SF has traffic pretty much only at commute time, while LA has about 12 hours of traffic a day. SF has much better walkability and (arguably) transit, and that can improve quality of life infinitely in my opinion. LA has a much better nightlife and entertainment, there is just so much to do all of the time and so many people, and SF is sleepier.

The jazz acts at this Civic Center bar take their cue from the speakeasy era, performing in flapper dresses and sports coats.
Union Square. $$$$ Perfect For: Drinking Great Cocktails Date Nights. PCH, as regulars adoringly call it, is an understated Union Square tiki bar that goes beyond the mai tais and zombies you’ll see at similar places around the city (looking at you Tonga Room).
