Upgrade to version 5 and get twice the icons. After you get up and running, you can place Font Awesome icons just about anywhere with the <i> tag: Note: to improve web accessibility, we recommend using aria-hidden="true" to hide icons used purely for decoration. The most future-proof way to upgrade from Version 4 to 6 is to add the Version 6 assets by following the Quick Start instructions. We’ve even included older version compatibility by default to help.

8 lut 2022 · We tested many upgrading-to-v6 scenarios and tweaked our docs accordingly. That means Font Awesome 6 is backward compatible, and upgrading should be straightforward, even directly from version 4. Old icon names, old unicode values trapped in CSS pseudo-elements, or icon styles (e.g. ‘fa’) don’t break when switching to v6.
