Icehotel is located 200 km north of the Arctic Circle, in Swedish Lapland. The closest airport and train station is in Kiruna, with daily connections from Stockholm. The flight takes about 90 minutes.
Yes, it is possible to walk to town, Kiruna is not that large. It is a bit over a km from Camp Ripan to the bus station, but the buses to Jukkasjärvi also stop at "OK-parken", which is much closer to Camp Ripan (ca 600 m). Once in Jukkasjärvi, the bus stops outside the Ice hotel.
