Founded in 1839, The Detroit Boat Club Crew is the oldest rowing club in North America. Its mission is dedicated to the education and promotion of rowing throughout Metro Detroit.

1 sie 2016 · Every summer, 120 adults learn to row at the Detroit Boat Club. Thirty participate in twice-weekly recreational rowing, while another 45 compete in the master’s program.
The Detroit Boat Club was established in 1839, as a sport rowing club. [1] It was first created on the Detroit River during a time in which Detroit was just starting to grow. The Detroit Boat Club is a member of the Detroit Regional Yacht-racing Association (DRYA).
