"Our Father which art in heaven." The relationship which is the strongest possible claim upon help and love is to be transferred to God. "Our Father" — what does it mean but that He is bending over us to pity us and to help us; to teach us and to make us good; glad indeed when we do well?

14 wrz 2021 · Part of the reason John felt compelled always to tell us to love one another is that he was constantly thinking about God. He had come to know love is from God, and God is love (7, 8). For John, knowing God is knowing love. Without God, a person cannot know the truest love.
