I Fought the Law is a side quest in Fallout: New Vegas. The quest is triggered by talking to Eddie at the NCR Correctional Facility, specifically in the upstairs office administration building, seated behind the desk with the caricatured portrait of President Kimball.
The option to double-cross Eddie in I Fought the Law is cool, but the fact that you're *required* to do Eddie's bidding (and thus stay on the good side of the Powder Gangers) in order to get the NCR to retake their correctional facility is absolutely ridiculous.
It's fustrating for those who still want to complete the quest 'I fought the Law'. I tried to using console commands to set my reputation higher with the powder gangers, however I was still attacked by them despite being 'Liked'.
‘I fought the Law’ for example is a quest to help the bandits who were attacking Goodsprings, by siding with Goodsprings against the Powder Gangers you made the bandits hate you and thus can’t do their quest anymore.
