Yea, just got the answer from wiki which i didnt see. If you fail to feed him within 144 SkyBlock days, he will disappear. After 5 days, you can talk to the Friendly Hiker and the Hungry Hiker will respawn in the ravine.
You can gather various resources in the Mushroom Gorge, such as: Sand, Cactus, Red Mushrooms, Brown Mushrooms, Raw Beef and Leather. The Hungry Hiker is located at the bottom of the gorge next to a tent. This is also an area where Mushroom Cows spawn.
