Rancheria Campground is located on the shores of Huntington Lake near the Kaiser Wilderness. The campsites sit under a dense canopy of fir and pine, and some tent-only sites are right on the shore and allow for informal mooring of boats.
Deer Creek Campground is located in California Sierra National Forest. The campground is tucked under dense fir and pines along the shore of Huntington Lake and offers scenic lake views, especially during the annual sailboat regatta. Boats can be moored near some of the camp sites.
Tucked under a dense canopy of fir and pine trees, Rancheria Campground is located on the shores of Huntington Lake near the Kaiser Wilderness. This large campground has several walk-to tent sites; the rest are standard and can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet.
Along with Rancheria campground, we now have campsite photos for all of the 6 campgrounds around Huntington Lake in the beautiful Sierra Nevada. All of the campgrounds are at about 7,000 feet in elevation and are open from May through early October (weather permitting).
Camping & Picnicking. There are seven public campgrounds at Huntington lake which include: Upper Billy Creek, Lower Billy Creek, Catavee, Deer Creek, Kinnikinnick, College and Rancheria. At Badger Flat above Huntington Lake is a group campsite which is available to reserve.
