Located in the middle of the UES in an ocean of Thai food and very subpar Asian cuisine otherwise, Hui impresses as probably some of the best Chinese food I've ever had in NYC. It is based on Sichuan style-dishes and spice as well as some Hunan classics--things unique such as double cooked pork, dry pot, Mapo Tofu come to mind.
