June 22, 1989 – HS-10 accepted the Navy’s first SH-60F CV-Helo inner zone antisubmarine warfare aircraft during a ceremony at NAS North Island, Calif. In October, HS-10 became the Navy’s only SH-60F fleet readiness squadron when it transferred all SH-3 training to HC-1 and HS-1.
12 lip 2012 · HS-10 closed its chapter on the SH-3H helicopter with more than 70,000 mishap-free flight hours when the last students completed in June 1989. The squadron immediately began operations with the Navy's newest aircraft, the Sikorsky SH-60F "Seahawk," a derivative of the successful Army UH-60 "Blackhawk."

The Sea King entered U.S. Navy service in September 1961 with helicopter ASW squadrons HS-3 and HS-10 and was assigned to antisubmarine warfare carriers—CVS. With the subsequent demise of those ships, in the early 1970s they began going aboard multimission carriers (CV/CVN) in eight-helicopter squadrons, later reduced to six aircraft.
