11 wrz 2024 · Product: HP Elitebook 840 G5. While messing in the bios I reset the bios and later when I boot into windows the brightness adjustment function keys didn’t work. I installed windows 11 and it was not fixed, then I reinstalled windows 10 again, the problem persisted.
16 sie 2018 · So the graphics drivers are installed...so the only other item I can think of that you would need is the hotkey software. HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads. If that doesn't get the Fn keys to change the brightness, unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you.
14 lut 2020 · If you've not installed HP Support Assistant yet, please install it from their website and restart it. It should be solved. But if not (that's my case), then go to windows searchbar and type Services. Go there, find HP Hotkey UWP Service, right click, stop it first and start it again. And Fn is working fine in my laptop.

16 sty 2016 · My keyboard had a brightness control option using the keys "fn + f9" and "fn + f10". These brightness control hotkeys stopped working after I installed Windows 10, although other hotkeys like the one for volume control still work.
